They won’t send me a cancellation form

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have requested the cancellation form that Melaleuca requires to be filled out and sent in to cancel a membership, both online and via phone. They say that they will email the cancellation form. Garrett told me on the phone that it would take about 15 minutes to receive the cancellation form via email. It’s the next day and I still haven’t received a cancellation form. It’s been four days since I first sent in an online request and I still haven’t gotten an email with a cancellation form. I confirmed my email address with Garrett, so I know they have the correct email address. Plus, I get their promotional emails, so they should be able to email the requested cancellation form with no problem. According to Garrett, I need to get the form in before 10/31/19. I requested the form from him via phone on 10/22/19. That’s plenty of time to get the form in on time, especially since he said that I can email the cancellation form to them. The website states this as well. It’s obvious that they are stalling so that I don’t have time to get the form in by the end of the month. If that happens, I have to pay for more product. That is deceitful.

This is sad to hear. The person who enrolled you in the program should have thoroughly explained the backup order and monthly ordering agreement when you signed up.

THE UNFORTUNATE TRUTH ABOUT MELALEUCA...INTERESTING.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Look, multi-level marketing started in the 1960's in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I had the chance to "get" in as the 3rd or 4th person to sign up.

At that time Amway had only one product, Liquid Organic Cleaner--LOC. The original premise had nothing at all to do with the product; it was always the money! Not long after Glen W. Turner in Florida started a company named Koscot Interplanetary and his products were some cosmetic products, skin lotions and such, made by a private label producer.

Glen never had anything to do with the products and you can go online now and find a private label producer who will make hundreds of products and put your name or your company on them. Fancy bottles and boxes etc. if you want them. Glen's spiel was the same pyramid Amway used, sign up 2, they get four, they get 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1,024, 2,048, 4,096, and so on AND YOU GET PAID A PERCENTAGE OF EVERY PRODUCT THEY SELL WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING.

Glen needed young energetic people with experience in meeting new people and talking them into something, in this case religion, and he came to Salt Lake City, the fraud capital of the world (true) and had meetings of Returned Missionaries and the fuse was lit. Glen had his meetings, would fly groups of people from his meetings to Reno on DC9's, or poorer people to Vegas on a bus and by the time all of these people got back home they were converted to Pyramids, Multi-level Marketing etc. ALL OF THE MULTI-LEVELS AFTER THAN TIME CAME OUT OF A DEFINED CORIDOR OF GET-RICH-QUICK COMPANIES extending from Rexburg, Idaho through Salt Lake City, Provo and St. George and ending in Las Vegas.

They are still there. Here and there I still go to the Rah-Rah meetings, all the same AND IT IS STILL ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, NOT THE PRODUCTS WHICH THEY MENTION IN PASSING. They all charge about $500. for a "starter kid", get on auto-ship, try to sell their family and friends and end up with a few boxes of useless product in their garage.

I personally know most of these people who started these companies and, behind closed doors, the talk is only about the money. The products are meaningless. These are illegal pyramid schemes and what they do are crimes. I know a guy well from St.

George who got the Utah AG off his back by paying him off in cash; a lot of it. I was present when this was done. btw the people who sign almost never get even their $500 sign-up fee back and only the top 6 or 7 % do get the $500. back, but zero income.

Only the top 1-3 % at the top of the pyramid make any significant money and that money comes from people who are desperate for money, who borrow the initial $500 from family, credit cards etc. and who will believe ANYTHING IN A RAH RAH MEETING. Even if people you know tell you about "fabulous incomes" don't believe it BECAUSE IT IS NOT TRUE. If you believe that, go ahead and sign-up, pay your $500-600 and find out for yourself.

You will regret it, I promise you, and make sure you have a garage or room for the useless stuff they give to you, send to auto-ship etc. IT IS THE SAME WITH ALL OF THESE PYRAMID 2-4-8-16-3*-**-*28-25*-512-*,024-2,048,4096 SIGN-UP COMPANIES.

I know because I know most of these people personally and they don't care if they are taking food out of peoples mouths; all they want is the money and the personal glory. You are fore-warned my good friend.

Melaleuca charges no sign up fee and you only order what you and your household want to use.

Here’s a suggestion.. get a prepaid debit card and add the minimum amount.

When they try to charge, it won’t go thru..

if they keep trying to call, just download YouMail and use their call block! It’s awesome!

Why do Australia allow these American companies take honest peoples money brainwash them and say they will make money especially pensioners who have nothing. You are quick to sign people up in minutes but takes a year for them to cancel. You have to so that is the first port of call then you have to fill in paperwork then fax it. No one in your Victoria answers calls. The voicemail says to "call back at their office times" It is 11am QLD?. I'm pretty sure your in the office but you don't want to take customer calls because you business is less than impressive with products that don't do anything but make peoples bank accounts empty. There is a special place in *** for you people.

I canceled my membership they are still shipping me stuff I don’t want and have charged my bank account $88.00! I called them and they refused to cancel the order, which I did not make!! Now I have to refuse the shipment and hope they refund my money. Products aren’t that good and way too expensive and by the time you add shipping it’s awful . I would not recommend this company to anyone!

Cancel your debit card to be safe. This company cannot be trusted.

You canceled at the beginning of the month. That's why they sent you more stuff.

You shouldn't get anything from them anymore. I closed my account in the middle of the month and I didnt receive anything or any charges after. My enrolled however is being annoying. She's pissed that I canceled.

She is constantly telling me that melaleica is non negotiable and I have to come back.

Basically I don't have the choice because she isn't giving me one. The enrollees are super annoying.

Stay away from Melaleuca

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This company requires you to have a back up order every month. Even if you do not need their products you will be obliged to order to maintain a what they call "prefer membership" wherein you get discounts, which is actually not discount at all. What 's worst is, they deliver products that you did not even choose. Stay away from this company not unless you want your pockets be ripped off every month. Also, do not be carried away with pressure selling. I have explained to them that there are only two members in our household and that we cannot consume much. Still they insist that we pay for back up orders that I do not even use. I was expecting that they would deliver the same products that I ordered before because I found these products useful to us. They delivered useless items instead. They welcome returns only...at your expense.

They do not require you to have a backup order, they suggest it! If you signed up for it, thats your fault. Im on their website now and in no place does it say its required.you idiots are the types to make a business get bad reviews because of stupidity not understanding something!

Yes we do have a backup order that they have us do. BUT you can go in and setup what you want on your backup order. I have never seen where we are not required to have a back up order.

Guest

you can choose your back up order by customize your own. ordering from melaleuca is a little bit tricky, but once you know the trick you are all set.

they won't eat your money away, you got few % of shopping dollars back, and you can buy stuffs for free. and you shouldn't be waiting till you got your back up order, you need to be buying monthly, especially before the 20th, you will get more % shopping dollars back. Don't be mad at melaleuca, you need to know more about it in frequent ask questions and answers.

and by the way, the back up order is not hidden message, it is printed on the customer form....is not their problems to send you the stuffs you don't need, it is your problem to not follow the rules. Solution: shop smarter.

Guest

I had this problem but found out that you can set up your back up order to get the products you like or you can order a convenience certificate. With this you can purchase products when you need them.

Of course I am sure that they expire at some point. I also can't use enough product for the amount you are required to pay each month, I have saved up my convenience certificates and plan to do a big order on the products I know I love and try some of the cosmetics that are so expensive.

The only downfall to this is the shipping is very high. That is my huge complaint.

Guest

When everyone watches the company overview they tell you up front that you do need to shop every month unless you close your account. You can custom make your back up order.

Guest
reply icon Replying to comment of Guest-1525189

We have been shopping for several years. We set our back up order to things we like.

I review if several times a year and adjust as needed. We enjoy the shopping experience.

Cancel means cancel

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was told from the start it was easy to cancel, I was lied to. I have canceled my account 4 times in the last 2 months and still back up orders are coming in that i am not even ordering.

It is only a back up if the orders i requested are not there. Not if i am not ordering anything

I have been with Melaleuca on and off for years. Never had any problem with canceling.

There is a specific procedure to cancel. I will be going back to them. I do not use the back up order because the products are concentrated.

I order my products based on my monthly needs. Very easy to do if you spend a few minutes on your order.

Guest

The agreement clearly states that the back-up order runs when you forget to place your monthly order, so for each month you dont place an order, it will send. Now about canceling and still getting an order, that isnt fair and hopefully customer service is able to assist you. Good luck

Contact your credit card bank and put the charge in dispute. Your bank will then deal with the company and the charges should stop.

Unauthorized Orders

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Melaleuca - Unauthorized Orders

Apparently, you can’t go a month without ordering because they end up automatically charging you for a back up box of crap.

I purposely did not place an order in June because I could not afford anything nor was I overly impressed with the first box. The protein bars were not good and felt like I was chewing cardboard. The vitamins had absolutely no affect on me and the energy powder you drop into water was extremely too sweet and tart. I took two sips and had to dump it because 1) it was way too strong based on recommended dose 2) I got sick to my stomach shortly after.

Yesterday morning 7/3/18 I noticed an unauthorized charge from Melaleuca and I contacted them immediately to cancel the order as it caused me to overdraft my checking account. Once again, I wasn’t planning on making an order. There was no warning they were going to charge me; no phone calls or email notifications. They just went ahead and charged my card. When I called to cancel, I was told that I could not cancel my order because the order had processed and would ship out that day. However, I had checked prior to calling and the order is still processing. They told me I would have to wait until the box arrives and I would need to ship it back on my own dime. However, it is now 7/4/18 and my order was never shipped and it is still processing. Basically, I was lied to. So, in one day Melaleuca fraudulently charged my card and then lied to me about not being able to cancel the order and that the order was shipping out.

I asked to have my account canceled and of course it’s a pain in the butt. They’re won’t cancel over the phone; you have fill out something online, print it, sign it and return it to the company. It’s worse than canceling a gym membership. I’m guessing it’s another way they scam people into keeping their membership.

These people are scam artists and committed fraud. As a Veteran, I’m appalled that companies like Melaleuca are allowed to treat consumers like this and flat out lied to me on the phone. I’ll be making sure this company is reported to every agency I know of.

Bottom line is this; don’t waste your money on their products. Everything is over priced, even at their preferred membership price. I’ve seen no results, everything tasted awful and even the “friend” that signed me up hasn’t promoted this company on social media since I signed up.

The person who commented saying they could not cancel their account is the typical lying malcontent that complain about everything. The cancelation process is extremely easy but more importantly, the reorder rate for the company’s products is an astounding 96%. You cannot find that anywhere else.

Guest

It’s so easy huh, so you’ve cancelled?

Guest

They make this VERY CLEAR when you sign up. I just signed up and was told this multiple times.

Guest

To cancel an account all you have to do is call the company they will email you a form to sign and all you do is email, Fax, mail or use quick send app to send back to them. I know many people that have cancelled their account with no problem.Personally I love the company and all the products, definitely a life changer for me!

Question...... Any particular reason for going through all the red tape to cancel but its so simple to sign up?

I mean it seem like it's very easy to give your money away but it's certain requirements to cancel and if these steps are not followed they will continue to charge you . Just wondering!!

Guest

Yes totally agree. Everyone needs to stay away from this company.

Melaleuca is amazing! Anyone here that had a bad experience most likely had an uninformed enroller.

To cancel, you literally write your name, number, email and "please cancel my preferred membership" on a sticky note then email it! It will be done that same day. My babies no longer struggle with ezcema, my husband doesn't have acne issues and I know my home is safer for my family! No more choking up in the bathroom while cleaning with nasty bleach.

The back up order is there to protect your preferred membership for if you forget to shop!

And hey can't or don't want to place an order that month you can turn off your benefits (same way to cancel) and re enroll when you are ready to shop again. I will NEVER go back to what I used to buy, Melaleuca shopper for life
