THE UNFORTUNATE TRUTH ABOUT MELALEUCA...INTERESTING.
Look, multi-level marketing started in the 1960's in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I had the chance to "get" in as the 3rd or 4th person to sign up.
At that time Amway had only one product, Liquid Organic Cleaner--LOC. The original premise had nothing at all to do with the product; it was always the money! Not long after Glen W. Turner in Florida started a company named Koscot Interplanetary and his products were some cosmetic products, skin lotions and such, made by a private label producer.
Glen never had anything to do with the products and you can go online now and find a private label producer who will make hundreds of products and put your name or your company on them. Fancy bottles and boxes etc. if you want them. Glen's spiel was the same pyramid Amway used, sign up 2, they get four, they get 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1,024, 2,048, 4,096, and so on AND YOU GET PAID A PERCENTAGE OF EVERY PRODUCT THEY SELL WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING.
Glen needed young energetic people with experience in meeting new people and talking them into something, in this case religion, and he came to Salt Lake City, the fraud capital of the world (true) and had meetings of Returned Missionaries and the fuse was lit. Glen had his meetings, would fly groups of people from his meetings to Reno on DC9's, or poorer people to Vegas on a bus and by the time all of these people got back home they were converted to Pyramids, Multi-level Marketing etc. ALL OF THE MULTI-LEVELS AFTER THAN TIME CAME OUT OF A DEFINED CORIDOR OF GET-RICH-QUICK COMPANIES extending from Rexburg, Idaho through Salt Lake City, Provo and St. George and ending in Las Vegas.
They are still there. Here and there I still go to the Rah-Rah meetings, all the same AND IT IS STILL ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, NOT THE PRODUCTS WHICH THEY MENTION IN PASSING. They all charge about $500. for a "starter kid", get on auto-ship, try to sell their family and friends and end up with a few boxes of useless product in their garage.
I personally know most of these people who started these companies and, behind closed doors, the talk is only about the money. The products are meaningless. These are illegal pyramid schemes and what they do are crimes. I know a guy well from St.
George who got the Utah AG off his back by paying him off in cash; a lot of it. I was present when this was done. btw the people who sign almost never get even their $500 sign-up fee back and only the top 6 or 7 % do get the $500. back, but zero income.
Only the top 1-3 % at the top of the pyramid make any significant money and that money comes from people who are desperate for money, who borrow the initial $500 from family, credit cards etc. and who will believe ANYTHING IN A RAH RAH MEETING. Even if people you know tell you about "fabulous incomes" don't believe it BECAUSE IT IS NOT TRUE. If you believe that, go ahead and sign-up, pay your $500-600 and find out for yourself.
You will regret it, I promise you, and make sure you have a garage or room for the useless stuff they give to you, send to auto-ship etc. IT IS THE SAME WITH ALL OF THESE PYRAMID 2-4-8-16-3*-**-*28-25*-512-*,024-2,048,4096 SIGN-UP COMPANIES.
I know because I know most of these people personally and they don't care if they are taking food out of peoples mouths; all they want is the money and the personal glory. You are fore-warned my good friend.

Cancel means cancel
I was told from the start it was easy to cancel, I was lied to. I have canceled my account 4 times in the last 2 months and still back up orders are coming in that i am not even ordering.
It is only a back up if the orders i requested are not there. Not if i am not ordering anything
Dont note sign up
me and my wife got divorced and its been 6 months and still getting charged after all these months trying to get off the account. even with my wife not on the credit card account and told that they still keep charging me so its dang near impossible to cancel her memberships.
Just want to give everyone heads up when I finally got them to cancel the membership they still charged me later that day, and told me they could not refund my money make to me.
then they want to ask me a tons of questions like I am lying to them. I even tried to order a new card and they called the bank and got that number even with out my x wifes name not on it.
Horrible
Unauthorized Orders
Apparently, you can’t go a month without ordering because they end up automatically charging you for a back up box of crap.
I purposely did not place an order in June because I could not afford anything nor was I overly impressed with the first box. The protein bars were not good and felt like I was chewing cardboard. The vitamins had absolutely no affect on me and the energy powder you drop into water was extremely too sweet and tart. I took two sips and had to dump it because 1) it was way too strong based on recommended dose 2) I got sick to my stomach shortly after.
Yesterday morning 7/3/18 I noticed an unauthorized charge from Melaleuca and I contacted them immediately to cancel the order as it caused me to overdraft my checking account. Once again, I wasn’t planning on making an order. There was no warning they were going to charge me; no phone calls or email notifications. They just went ahead and charged my card. When I called to cancel, I was told that I could not cancel my order because the order had processed and would ship out that day. However, I had checked prior to calling and the order is still processing. They told me I would have to wait until the box arrives and I would need to ship it back on my own dime. However, it is now 7/4/18 and my order was never shipped and it is still processing. Basically, I was lied to. So, in one day Melaleuca fraudulently charged my card and then lied to me about not being able to cancel the order and that the order was shipping out.
I asked to have my account canceled and of course it’s a pain in the butt. They’re won’t cancel over the phone; you have fill out something online, print it, sign it and return it to the company. It’s worse than canceling a gym membership. I’m guessing it’s another way they scam people into keeping their membership.
These people are scam artists and committed fraud. As a Veteran, I’m appalled that companies like Melaleuca are allowed to treat consumers like this and flat out lied to me on the phone. I’ll be making sure this company is reported to every agency I know of.
Bottom line is this; don’t waste your money on their products. Everything is over priced, even at their preferred membership price. I’ve seen no results, everything tasted awful and even the “friend” that signed me up hasn’t promoted this company on social media since I signed up.

This is sad to hear. The person who enrolled you in the program should have thoroughly explained the backup order and monthly ordering agreement when you signed up.
