Melaleuca is a privately held company, meaning they don't open it up to massive shareholders who would in turn, make everything they do much more complicated. Melaleuca is a referral based company meaning someone needs to give you a presentation of Melaleuca explaining what they are about, what they do, the products, and the business opportunity.

They do pay those that refer others to the company. Melaleuca is a DIRECT SELLING corporation. Not a MLM. MLM means there are multiple levels of distributing products.

In Melaleuca you refer others to Melaleuca so they buy directly from the company so you don't make any investment to build a business, you don't have to worry about "stock", shipping orders or anything. There are two types of members at Melaleuca. Regular member will pay full retail price of the products, you don't have a monthly commitment, or a membership fee. A preferred member recieves many benefits.

30-50% discount on products, savings on services like LifeLock, HomeSecurity, and even offer rebates when you shop through the Marketplace with over 650+ retail partners. You also recieve Loyalty Shopping dollars which you can use towards free products. In exchange for all those awesome benefits, much like CostCo, Sam's Club, Netlfix, you have to pay for the service. The membership fee will either be $1 or $19 depending on if they have a promotion.

The renewal fee is $19. You also agree to purchase 35 product points each month. The company does not offer free shipping. The reason being if they did offer free shipping they would have to add that cost back into the product.

All companies that do offer free shipping are making that money somewhere else. If you do not produce 35 product points during that month, in order to maintain your preferred benefits the company will send what they call a preferred membership pack or a back up order or most people call it an auto ship. If you cannot produce those product points during that month you are more than welcome to suspend your account. However like most business operate and most common sense would lead you to believe you have to cancel the account by the last business day of the month by 5 pm mst.

Why would they accept your cancellation for November if you didn't send it until December? You do need to fill out a letter or write a note with your name, phone number, email address, a statement saying to close the account and sign and date that. You can take a picture and send it to myaccount@***.com or you can fax it, quicksend, document upload, or even mail it. However if you don't close the account by the proper date, don't place the order by the proper date, you will be sent an autoship.

The return policy: if you want to return products that are unused, you you didn't like you can return it within 90 days from the date of purchase. Anything older than 90 days-120 days you can exchange it or get a non refundable credit on the account. However that doesn't mean an empty bottle policy. There needs to be some portion of the product left unused in order to get a refund.

It's exactly like going to a resturaunt eating all your food and then demanding a refund becuase it wasn't good. If it wasn't good why didn't you speak up?

I do not know why all of you negative people are being so arrogant and ignorant in not reading what you are agreeing to, or don't call the company to get answers and get the situation resolved. Its pathetic.

Reason of review: Good customer service.

Melaleuca Cons: People who are stupid.

A very straight forward well written review Melaleuca.com.

Having my first experiences with Melaleuca:

1) The people who claim to be members that comment on here are enough to make anyone run from this company.

2) This is absolutely a pyramid/MLM company

3) You have to pay a membership fee and sign your rights away to even get to see the prices as a direct shopper!

Get a clue!

This isnโ€™t about selling products. This is all about getting some poor suckers who canโ€™t read a contract to buy stuff they really donโ€™t want while giving them hope of a great income. All they have to do is sucker in their friends and family to do the same.

If you really care about health, NEVER take vitamins; eat your organic fruits and veggies.

Sleep eight hours a night. Drink water. Exercise. And stay away from people who only want to use you, like Melaleuca, Inc.

Buy your cleaning products at a health food store or use natural. No one needs to buy anything from this company.
