I have read a lot of reviews about Melaleuca, both favorable and unfavorable, and I thought I'd put in the 2 cents of a couple who did not sign up and the reasons why not via our experience after being invited to a evening to discuss these products by a friend of ours....

They started assessing me fees and my bank starting monthly being overdrawn my checking account I had check bouncing due to them taking out there monthly fees. I keep reading how easy it is to cancel and return items for a refund and everything works so well. I was unable to use the cancellation feature on the site as I was always have issues with accessing my online account and getting things to work properly.

I was told I could not send a written request. Weeks went by and I persisted in asking why I could not just send a written request to cancel. I emailed a screenshot and did not hear anything back when I was told I would have confirmation in 24 hours. Company kept charging my card and I couldn't do anything about it.

I called and cancellation was confirmed. CS also confirms receiving my returns items and did not know why I had not received any credit to my card. I have tracking numbers confirming delivery and the company is now reporting they never received anything. They really are a great company and they are really on top of things.

You never know from one call to the next what to expect. I really am disappointed and I want ALL of my money back. I am getting more and more frustrated with this whole experience and all of the company's supporters who don't seem to have a clue why anyone would be dissatisfied or have any issues unless they are complete *** and did something wrong. I have read more hateful and demeaning feedback from Melaleuca reps here than I can tolerate at this point.

The company is doing some bad things and sometimes mistakes happen. Sometimes business has an opportunity to make ethical decisions or screw people over. People don't like being lied to or taken advantage of. People don't like being ROBBED or called idiots--especially by representatives of a company that has lied and kept their money by dishonest means.

I have confirmed the company has received the merchandise. Still they changed their story to keep my money for products I could not use and did not want to pay for. I paid the shipping and insurance. This company is dishonest and the various products I used failed.

They are nothing like they were I the past when we used them in our household daily. I am just thankful they finally got my cancellation after a good 2 months...

I just had a customer cancel their membership last month because of life circumstances. They had absolutely no problem.

I, as the enroller, even called the company to make sure everything went through ok. The customer service rep I spoke with let me know it had processed and all was good. Over the years, I have never had any of my customers have a problem with cancelling a membership.

If they follow the guidelines everything works out great. The only person that gets a little "bummed" is me.

Two questions:

1. Did you actually sign the form?

2.

Things get lost in the mail all the time.

Are you aware of the other ways you can submit paperwork to Melaleuca? You can fax it, you can email it, you can upload it through the "Document Upload" tool on Melaleuca.com, you can send them a photo of the form using their smartphone app "Melaleuca Quick-Send".

The new Melaleuca quick- send is an awesome added tool to be used. The products are exactly what I have been looking for.

What I like is not shopping at store and standing in line for chemicals that do damage to my body. Melaleuca does not sell chemicals. Shopping online is so easy and calling in an order is so easy. Shipped right to my door no matter how many times I order a month.

If I forget to order a product I can call if it is within the time allowed to add to my order.

I have been shopping with melaleuca for about 4 years now and I am so pleased. Thanks Melalueca And Frank.

There are companies and competition from Melaleuca that would like to see Melaleuca go away-every month 20,000 to 50,000 or more people are switching stores from the grocery to Melaleuca. Melaleuca is consumer direct marketing -it is not a pyramid-which is...

For the original poster - regardless of the 3 days to rescind, the company has a policy where you can cancel within a certain amount of time from initial enrollment and get your full enrollment fee refunded and you can also return the products for a full refund. You just need to download the form and fax it to the corporate offices.

If you want, I can look up the information for you about the enrollment fee refund. livedebtfree1@gmail.com

Melaleuca review in Reading, Pennsylvania: Soiled Foiled Tea Tree Company

Company will not issue credit as per their instructions. Do not answer emails other than scripted message to call. My legal counsel told me to document. No need to play phone game. Lie about ingredient changes and animal testing. Unsavory at best. Strongly discouraged. Stronger than a Dyson! UPS personnel told me they have complaints often when people try to "get away", from he company. Had to cancel my credit card due to fraudulent charges. Company is unwilling to respond in written word or honor their own practice of crediting back original form of payment. Want to use points earned and leave ! HELP

:?

I am a graduate student, I work part time in a boutique and have no experience or dealings with this company or its competitors. I have been considering trying Melaleuca products (hence internet research - this) but the vicious responses of some if their reps that I have seen on this site are extremely off-putting. I have seen pro-Melaleuca defenses actually copied and pasted from one thread to another. It isn't upsetting to me that occasionally a customer will have a bad experience; misunderstandings happen.

However, the negative and unprofessional comments I have seen on this site from some (not all) proponents of Melaleuca have been extremely discouraging to me and now I'm not sure if I want to move forward buying from a company with such representatives.

That said... to be fair, I suppose the business model is that they will hire ANYBODY. That certainly explains some of the misspelled, inarticulate and RUDE comments found on this website.

It may be the responsibility of the purchaser to look out for themselves, but when I shop at Target or Whole Foods I don't have a personal mentor or something who claims that they'll make sure I understand everything I need to. Once the "enroller" acts like they are going to help you, it is their RESPONSIBILITY to live up to your trust. If I have an "enroller" who tells me it's their job to teach me what I need to know, any ignorance of mine is THEIR FAILURE.

It is 2012. Even the US Government is on top of the times enough that you can file taxes online. If a company makes it so that the ONLY way to stop charges is to fax or snail mail a form in this day and age, they are being a pain in the neck on purpose to discourage you from leaving. That is TERRIBLE customer service. Normal (not even remarkably good) customer service will refund you for goods you didn't want and charges mistakenly incurred post-cancellation - no hassle, no guilt, no drama. And certainly no condescending comments.

Sounds like someone isn't smart enough to read the customer agreement! I am a lawyer and ALSO a Melaleuca customer.

I can tell you there is nothing false or "scam like" about this company. And as for your "counsel" obviously you don't have "counsel" because they "counsel" would be acting for you contacting Melaleuca.

Good Grief, glad you are in college.

1) you can place your account on hold for up to 6 months -- I have done this myself several times

2) to cancel your membership, simply fax a letter to them, ask for confirmation and you are done.

Only stipulation (which I do find annoying) is that they must be received by a certain date in the month (I think the 25th)
