Melaleuca - Signed up to build a business--not happy

I was looking online to find something to do to earn money @ home and was contacted by a senior director and was very interested in signing up and selling the product. Then got into it and spent way too much time on the phone calling long distance numbers. Then had alot of fears that I brought up and they were never addressed. Just kept pushing for me to buy a value pack that 3/4 of the product I would not use. I cancelled my acct and the emails would not stop. Finally blocked the person sending them. Will not be going back to the company at all. Got my first order and ended up in the er do to an allergic reaction to the high end shampoo. Buyer beware. Not all it is cracked up to be.

Nothing but fake positive reviews on this thread, probably all posted by the same person who, if honest, would admit they long since left this mlm business behind.

Seems like you are blaming the company for things YOU should've known better about. You were looking for something to do at home, so you were contacted by someone who assumed you meant what you said.

Now tell me, where is it in the USA that you can go into business for yourself for $300.00? I want to know, really. The Value pack is $199.00 so had you bought the value pack you would've received your money back and then some in your first 3 months. Then knowing that you have an allergy you need to read the labels to avoid ER issues.

Seems to me its all your fault. Don't slam the company because you didn't do what you were supposed to do. Nice try, but NO. I'm allergic to their deodorant so I don't use it.

Simple! Everything else is 5 stars!!

LMAO!!! I've lost count of how many defenders of various pyramid schemes use that same tired line "where in the USA can you go into business for yourself for XXX (insert a dollar amount, it varies, depending on what MLM company it is).

I wouldn't touch Melaleuca with a 10 foot pole. I don't get involved in pyramid schemes and I sure as heck won't use any of their products.

Anonymous, you wouldn't know a pyramid if it bit you in the nose. Another point is melaleuca people don't sign others up to SELL products.

Mela reps don't sell products. They don't SELL anything. Network marketing is what most of the businesses are today, and those network marketing people make tons of money which is why marketing has changed over the last 100 years...were you sleeping? You can now go on line and buy all your goods and services and have them shipped conveniently to your home.

Look at Peapods, look at all those companies EAGER to come to your home and show you their products...NETWORK marketing.

Not pyramid. Get your facts straight.

I am so sorry that that was your experience. I have a very happy customer and marketing executive for over 3 years and love not only the products, but this will be the last business I'll ever built.

I am so sorry, but that was your experience. and most people report NOT being happy.

You are probably just a company shill. You posted this in 2014 and I pretty sure you ate your words a long time ago.

Craziest thing I've ever heard. I've been shopping 8 years and the shampoos are all natural.

You can actually pronounce the ingredients! I'm a scientist at a large biotech company and I work in the lab, I can attest to the purity of the products,. They're all pH balanced and alkaline, an allergic reaction must be to something in nature. I can't imagine a shampoo free of parabens and sulfates, fillers, sodium laurel sulfate and propelyne glycol HURT anyone.

This is by fr the best company to shop with, they're the WORLD LEADER in green products. There MUST be a reason why!

Hi, I am sorry you had a bad experience. I am a very happy customer.

I used the same high end shampoo and conditioner and was very happy with it.

It was the first product I used that did not leave my hair dry and wirey since I am latino and black mixed and have my hair natural. Also you probably did not have a good support team to help you build your business since you were making calls to people long distance instead of people within your area or neighborhood.

Melaleuca Shipping Service Review

The company has amazing customer service. If you explain what you need they will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Just call 1(800)282-3000. I've never had a problem getting a replacement item. They'll even refund your shipping back to them if you request. I think the new customers need to communicate their wants/needs effectively.

All these people complaining don't follow the rules when signing up. I love melaleuca and have been a happy customer for 2 years. Some people commenting on here are clearly idiots who don't read contracts they sign.

I love their products and I'm alive thanks to one of their products. I had lyme disease and it almost killed me.

THANKS to Melaleuca I no longer have lyme, I no longer have organs that are failing and after my second stroke, the dr. said I might get some of my damages back in 4 or 5 years. Well within two years I had 96% back, and I don't have lyme anymore either. The science behind their supplements is the best.

NO ONE can match their results. NO ONE.

The customer service is terrible. They shipped two boxes to my PO box instead of my physical address. They didn't credit my credit card and instead sent me "certificates" that they also charged me for. They charged me for over 200.00 for merchandise I didn't receive....

I believe you are FULL OF CRAP and are making stuff up . We don't do, nor have we EVER done certificates.

Customer service is top rate, but then again it depends on your attitude when talking to them. Charged 200 bucks for items you didn't receive? If they went to your post office box, maybe someone helped themselves? I know they can prove what went where and you can track the shipment too.

They send you an email of tracking your shipment with each order...and then you can track with UPS and they'll tell you exactly where it was dropped off, who signed for it and so forth. Sounds like YOU didn't do your homework.

Nice try,. but we're better than that.

Melaleuca - Poor Service Review from Lawton, Oklahoma

Poor services while assisting my husband on setting up the window sensors. Adam Bloxham kept asking my husband to call back and never provided us with a direct line to him. We had to keep going through the monitoring center to them to pass the message on to someone and the message was not going directly to Adam. Attempt to email him back and he never responded. Poor poor service and very dissatisfied customer. Never seen anything like this before.

Obviously you had a problem with the security team. I installed my system and it was so easy a two year old could do it.

I talked directly to the security team.....you should've had their number and not calling customer service all the time. When you signed up for the security system you should've gotten their number then. Don't know why you weren't supplied with it.

BUT again, don't blame Melaleuca for the security team. They are a different subsidiary of the company.

I think this is for a different company. Melaleuca doesn't have window sensors, or a monitoring center.

Melaleuca security, but it is with a different company and there fore requires one to have their number. You can get it by calling customer service, but customer service cannot and will not help you setting up your system because they have no knowledge .

You should talk to Mela home security. Entirely separate number. Setting up the system is easy. I did it myself and even installed the hi=power board as the std.

mother board in the monitor wasn't strong enough to reach me, where I am. Melaleuca Security 's number is 1-800-435-5646.

Mela home office is 1-800-282-3000. DIFFERENT.

I'm gonna be honest, unless we find ourselves in a Paradasaic World, we are going to have to in the meantime use hygiene products made with the " best" formulas imperfect man has invented. Why don't we just share with one another what we do like, save the negative comments for the landfill.

It is sort of like an mlm. Cmon.

You ask people to become customers and you receive a percentage of their purchases each month if you have recruited 8 and obtained director status. The more people in your downline the higher your commission percentage. The part that sucks is that your upline chooses whether or not to add to your downline because you are in their organization. They decide whether or not they want to help you build or not.

If your up line is an active recruiter or just a customer makes a huge difference. Our up line deemed us lazy customers and not go-getter recruiters and told us they would shut us out and never add to our group because we weren't doing the "marketing" correctly.

We quit and had to wait years before we could join again. At one time we were spending $300 a month and receiving only $50.
