Such a scam...

Melaleuca - Such a scam...
Melaleuca - Such a scam...
First, all their bottles are made in China and are terrible. The made in China plug in, the bottles of oil just fall out. I gave them for gifts and didn't know this was happening until after the return time policy. But that would be customer service. I gave them time to rectify no call, so I quit co. After the letter was sent to quit and confirmed, they still charged my credit card for the yearly membership which I was NOT told about during sign up. Also, I was told wrong product to clean produce with and bought several bottles because I'm a caterer. And was actually washing produce with it. I called and told them, they did nothing. Shipping fees are too high and If you go to a seminar NO pictures NO filming which is a BIG red flag to me. They really stress the stuff is so natural and healthy, but yet put it in China crap poison plastic bottles, because they are cheaper. I own a product and had it made in U.S.A. Because I cared about quality and health for the dogs using it. And the cost was a bit more but not that much.

User's recommendation: Beware of shipping costs and everything is made in China.

Beware

I joined Melaleuca as a "preferred member" which means you get their best pricing if you buy a certain dollar amount every month. After a few short months I had duplicates of everything I wanted and the prices are not really competitive with good ingredient products available almost everywhere so I decided to leave. -MOST IMPORTANT WARNING-after deciding Melaleuca was not for me I've spent over 4 months trying to get OUT! They keep billing me for things I didn't get saying that I've been buying coupons for my monthly products. This has been ridiculous! I feel like I've joined a cult! I've decided, after several attempts at closing this off that I'll write a bad review for every phone call I get or have to make from here on out so you may hear from me again. I'm very happy I didn't sign anyone up to this program!!!

Not worth the effort

-Customer service was fine. -Loyalty dollars are a joke. -When u apply loyalty dollars they dock your points you have built up. -Comparable products can be found at Walmart with free shipping. -canceling my account was the hardest cancellation I have ever had to do with any company.

Such a statement may come home to bite you. You are saying that a certain product that Melaleuca makes gives you cancer?

Melaleuca has over 400 products. If you were more specific you may have some credibility but you are obviously a disgruntled consumer and have a bone to pick and instead of being an adult you resort to bashing indiscriminately a fine company with a slander

Be careful. Lots of red flags.

It's clearly an MLM, even without product to stack up in your home. This might be good if you have a very large family. The company is not transparent at all, and you really have to dig hard to find information. There's a lot of putting down of other companies to make this one look good. They have a hard sell, and the successful people are hardcore. Plenty of carcinogenic substances in the products. Adding tea tree oil to carcinogens doesn't make them non-carcinogenic. It doesn't work that way.

I just quit the company for aforementioned reasons. The loyalty dollars were not loyal.

They compare them to kohl’s cash.

Kohl’s cash doesn’t make u spend more once u apply your coupon of cash lol. Same toxic crap in mela and at times they don’t just it, I feel like I’ll lose friends I made thru it for cancelling like its some cult.

Stop claiming your products are non toxic when in fact they contain an alarming amount of toxins. It’s disgusting that you purposely mislead customers who are trying to live a healthier lifestyle for their families.

Very greedy company

I called to put my account on hold because I lost my job but I was told I would have to cancel. (They make cancelling difficult). I made it clear that I did not want them sending me anymore products. I went away and when I checked my bank account, I saw that they tried to charge me and the payment was declined. Although I did cancel ( or so I thought) I called the company and said that I would pay as soon as I could in a few weeks with a loan I was getting from my sister. Every day for two weeks they they attempted to take money out of my account although I asked them not to. I called and asked that that they stop trying and that I would pay myself. I had a check our to my gas company and Melaleuca would be paid the following week but instead, my check bounced because they were just to greedy and insisted on taking the money out although I explained my situation. I have been a customer for a couple of years and was planning on going back once I got back on my feet but now, never again. I have read other similar reviews and went with this company anyway. By the way, When I did arrive home, there was no package. So I had nothing to even send back. I never expected them to send anything after I called to cancel. Dont deal with this company. Very greedy

Don't waste your time

Honestly, the reps/customer service of course were very sweet BUT there are several issues with this "wellness" company. No. Not all ingredients are green, safe, eco-friendly, etc. Sugar (different special name for it, of course) in the Vitamin C powder (sort of like Airborne or EmergenC), the hair products (conditioner, shampoo, serums, etc.) ALL have "fragrance" or "parfum" listed in the ingredients (which is a known cause of hormone disruptors and allergens, harmful sulfates (skin irritants), etc along with the lotions, creams, makeups, etc. Yes. They make it extremely difficult to cancel and send back products. Like stone age stuff - print this form (not very eco-friendly there), then spend money to send it back, then print ANOTHER form and sign it saying you understand you don't want to use our company anymore. Not like we don't have emails linked with our online accounts with this ONLINE company. IDK it's 2020. Get with the times, get with the REAL companies that do care about the planet &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; what is put in/on our bodies.

I just had to post a response to your "income" calculations of which you have absolutely no idea how compensation is paid. Without even knowing, you are coming up with some convulated math I Since you've mentioned about a person having 75 active customers, let's just touch on this.

I won't get into the point about you claiming a person would have to "bust their ***" to accomplish that, which is also so untrue. Anyways, if a person had 75 people shopping for just an average order, the yearly income would amout to way more than $10,000. The average of $2,000 is not for 75 active customers. You then talk about, "expenses".

How can you consider items you would be spending money on without being involved with Melaleuca as an "expense?!?!" You are simply switching stores. If you spend $150 at Walmart and buy those same type of products at Melaleuca, you would likely spend about $100, which is and extra $50 in your pocket. To claim shopping at Melaleuca is an expense is so wrong. You also try to deduct the cost of training, marketing, etc...

Well, it seems you don't know that those are free with Melaleuca. You must be confusing how things work with MLM type companies, NOT Melaleuca. So, before you start complaining about something, at least get your facts straight. Since you mentioned a person making just $500 for a year, did you know you'd have to have less than 8 active customer to make so little?

When compared to MLM companies, if you put the same effort and had the same success with Melaleuca, the income would be way, way, way more. I've done the MLM thing and lost thousands.

I would NEVER want anything to do with that business model. Melaleuca is a dream come true for a person looking at starting a business, especially when it cost absolutely nothing to start.

Best Company ever ***** 5 STAR

My home is now clean and green. I have switched all the toxic cleaners in my home to now using Melaleuca Eco-Sense products. No more burning itchy hands when cleaning with harsh cleaners. The house smells nice and I am often complimented on how fresh it smells.

Extremely difficult to cancel!!!!

The exact same thing happened to me, as the person who wrote the message above. It's too expensive for me to purchase each month, so I called and cancelled. The young lady seemed to accept my verbal cancellation via the telephone, and she never said anything about sending in the printed form with my signature. Products continued to arrive, and my credit card continued to be charged. Just now called the company once more, and then was told about the written policy. Printing and saving the form was awful, as I was forced to sign up for a 30-day trial period from some site in order to keep my signature for future use. UGH!!!! Enough!

They tell you to mail or fax your cancellation but as you can see from all the BBB complaints, they always just say they did not receive it and that's how they get away with continually sending you products. Your best bet is to file a complaint with the BBB, because Melalauca does respond to them. My advice is sti stay away fro, ALL MLM's, because most have this autoship crap.
